Advertise your Business on the Islayinfo Website

What does the Islayinfo website do for Islay?
One of the goals of the Islayinfo website is to actively support the local community and promote the island through an online presence on the internet in the best possible way.

Your listing on Islayinfo
To achieve these goals every business, accommodation, artist or other local group with a website gets a free listing on the Islayinfo website and, if appropriate, on the Islay Accommodation Directory, which includes a link, picture and some general information. If you want a free listing for your accommodation or other business, let me know by email. I can usually obtain the information and image needed for your entry from your web site. Examples of these listings can be found on the business and accommodation pages as well as the accommodation directory.

Advertise on Islayinfo
Advertising on Islayinfo is a highly cost-effective way to reach a very large number of potential visitors to Islay from around the globe. In 2006 the Islayinfo website received 28,000 distinct visitors which rapidly increased to almost 160,000 distinct visitors for 2007. Based on the first quarter of 2008 the Islayinfo website will receive 300,000 distinct visitors in this year (forecast). To dramatically increase the visibility of your business, Islayinfo offers advertising space on both high- and low traffic pages on the Islayinfo homepage and weblog with competitive rates that start as low as £30 per year.

Advertising options
There are basically two options to advertise, standard and budget.

  • The "standard ad" is £80 per year and includes a banner (image of 170x110 pixels) with link to your website on the Islayinfo homepage, weblog homepage, accommodation or business page and one area page.

  • The "budget ad" is £30 per year and includes a banner (image of 170x110 pixels) and link to your website on pages other than the homepage and weblog.

Banners will be displayed in the right or left hand side column. Other options such as bigger banners, text links and/or more pages can be discussed.

Ads on the Islayinfo homepage can be subject to availability. Accommodation owners also receive a featured listing in the Islay Accommodation Directory. Payment is by invoice, issued once you are completely happy with the results. Please send me an email or use the feedback form to contact me.
