Liz Sykes is a batik artist working on the Isle of Islay in Scotland's Hebrides. Batik originated in the Far East about 2000 years ago, but has spread over the whole world, changing as it has met each new culture. Liz's batik reflects the subjects and amazing light of the West Coast of Scotland.

We are a small soap works based on the Hebridean Island of Islay. Famous the world over for its whisky, this “whisky isle” is also home to miles of empty beaches and spectacular cliffs.
