Reception areas

The farmhouse is perfect for large groups of people or large families. Not only does it have a large living room with panoramic views, but it has a separate ‘den’ or living room with additional TV and DVD player which is perfect for children. Interested adults might enjoy the exceptional reference library where you are welcome to browse our books, or sit and enjoy the garden view.

The large kitchen with breakfast bar is perfect for catering for large parties. With a range electric cooker, two fridges, and dishwasher - catering doesn't need to be a chore. There is also a separate laundry with chest freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer plus plenty of extra drying space for wet suits/walking gear.

The dining table sits 10 people and is in front of the log fire. And of course the bar is the perfect place from which to enjoy one of Islay’s many malt whiskies …

The highlight of the house has to be the huge, private and safe garden enjoyed by dogs and children alike. The Finnish BBQ hut, or the Hobbit hut as we like to call it, ensures you can BBQ all year round. Reindeer hides keep it warm and cosy and the huge pit BBQ means you can easily cook for up to 10 people at once. A new addition for 2018 was our large decking area with hot tub for 8 people. The outdoor kitchen boasts an Italian pizza oven which can also be used as an oven, or for smoking food. The seating area is more than adequate for 10.

Bedrooms

Up the main staircase there are 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom boasts a super-king bed with en-suite facilities (shower over bath), a further bedroom also has a Superking bed which can be easily split into two single beds and has an en-suite shower room. The third and fourth bedrooms share a family bathroom with hand held shower attachment.

There is also an additional bedroom above the kitchen via a separate staircase which has a double bed and a single bed in it plus its only sink, making it a good family room.
