Inside the House

To make the most of the views the living accommodation is upstairs at Shore Street.  The lounge has 2 large couches, wooden floors and an open fire along with a flat screen TV.  The open plan kitchen dining room adjoins the lounge and has space for 8 dining. The kitchen has gas cooking and everything you need for your stay.  There is also a comfortable couch in the dining area to relax and watch TV.

Double doors lead onto the balcony and from here there are views across the water and harbour.  You can watch wonderful sunsets, wading birds and the boats coming in and out as you enjoy a glass of wine, whisky or cup of tea.

Downstairs there are 3 Bedrooms - 2 doubles and a twin.  Both of the double rooms look out to the sea and you can hear the water lapping directly below. The twin room is at the front of the house.

There is a family bathroom with a double ended bath and shower overhead. There is constant hot water.  On this level there is also a shower room with toilet.

Outside

Bowmore is Islay's biggest village and home to the famous Bowmore Whisky Distillery which is just along the road.  Number 26 is about 200 metres from the centre of Bowmore.

The balcony looks across the loch towards Bruichladdich and Port Charlotte and there is a table and chairs. Outside the house you can access the shoreline with a short walk in either direction.  The harbour is at the end of the street along with all its shops, hotels and cafes.

There is free, unrestricted parking outside the house.

And, of course, the Co-Op is on hand for all your groceries – usually open until 10pm!
