Port Charlotte Youth Hostel is a converted whisky warehouse of the former Lochindaal Distillery, right at the shore of Loch Indaal on Islay. The youth hostel has all the amenities you would expect. For those looking for budget accommodation multi-share rooms are available, but the hostel is also family friendly and provides private rooms.
The family-run Lochindaal Hotel in Port Charlotte is one of Islay's most traditional hotels. The hotel consists of two bars, the public bar and the lounge bar where most meals are served. The hotel has 5 ensuite bedrooms all with super king-sized beds which can all be converted into twin beds. One of the bedrooms is a family suite with 2 bedrooms linking to a Jack and Jill bathroom. There are 2 other superior bedrooms and 2 standard bedrooms.
